Selsema/Batuk vs Penyusuan @ breastfeeding / pregnancy

3 hari lepas ummioked kena selsema yang teruk sangat2.(refer entry ni)....Hari Selasa pegi klinik dapat MC 2 hari ...hari ni go kerja jugak walaupon batuk ni teruk sangat, kadang2 tu nak bercakap pon susah...

Nak dijadikan cite, setiap kali ummioked pg klinik, mmg akan bagitau doktor yang ummioked still breastfeed, dan doktor akan bagi ubat yang selamat (tak mengantuklah).. Selalunya doktor akan bekalkan;

a) deman - uphamol 500 - satu biji 4 kali sehari (6 jam sekali)
b) selsema - Clarinase - 1 @ 2 biji sehari
c) Batuk - Tussidex Forte - 1 Sudu Besar 3 kali sehari
d) Antibiotic - Beamoxy 250 2 biji 3 kali sehari

Ummioked sebenarnya was2 jugak dgn ubat2an , selalunya kalau boleh tahan mmg tak amik pon ubat. Tapi ni dah teruk sgt, nak tak nak terpaksa amik. SO ummioked buat research setaip ubat yang dibekalkan.

a) Uphamol 500
Using during pregnancy and breastfeeding Paracetamol crosses the placental barrier. So far, no observed adverse effects of paracetamol on the fetus in humans.Paracetamol is excreted in breast milk: the content in milk was 0.04-0.23% of the dose adopted mother.If necessary, use of paracetamol during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding) should carefully weigh the potential benefits of therapy for the mother and the potential risk to the fetus or child.In experimental studies found no embryotoxic, teratogenic and mutagenic action of paracetamol.

b) Clarinase (Content : loratadine and pseudoephedrine )
Use in pregnancy & lactation: Safe use of Clarinase during pregnancy has not been established. Therefore, it should be used only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.
Since loratadine and pseudoephedrine sulfate are excreted in breast milk, a decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or to discontinue the use of Clarinase.

Pseudoephedrine and triprolidine are excreted in breast milk in small amounts but the effect of this on breastfed infants is not known. c) Beamoxy (content : Amoxicillin Trihydrate )
Using during pregnancy and breastfeeding amoxicillin crosses the placenta, in small amounts excreted in breast milk.If necessary the use of amoxicillin during pregnancy should carefully weigh the potential benefits of therapy for the mother and the potential risk to the fetus.With careful use amoxicillin during lactation (breastfeeding).

Overall : Kena berhati2 lah amik chemical medicine lepas ni...mungkin patut beralih kepada yang semulaji lah....so far ummioked amik Vitamin C je.....
